Rainbow Spinning Pinwheel

Das ist mein Rainbow Spinning Pinwheel Block. Ursrpünglich wollte ich einen Dresden Plate Block machen. Aber ich wollte auch mehrere Stoffe von einer Farbe verwenden und unbedingt mal wieder paper piecen. Am Ende kam dann diese Idee dabei heraus. Ich finde den Block sehr schön, aber ich bin etwas hin und hergerissen. Paper Piecing macht wirklich Spaß und das Ergebnis ist so schön zufriedenstellend, weil super-akkurat. Aber es dauert. Einen ganzen Quilt paper piecen? Ich weiß noch nicht… Kommt sicher auch auf das Muster an, oder? Das hier wird auf jeden Fall erst mal eine Mini Version für die Wand. This is my rainbow spinning pinwheel block. I wanted to make a dresden plate, originally. But I also wanted to use more than one print of one color and I absolutely wanted to do some paper piecing again. So I came up with this idea. I love this block! But I have to admit, I’m a little conflicted about it. I love paper piecing, it’s fun and the results are satisfying because super-accurate. But it takes a lot of time. A whole paper pieced quilt? I’m not so sure… It depends on the pattern too, don’t you think? Anyway, I will make a little wall quilt from this block first. Have a wonderful and sunny weekend! xo Nadra
