After a huge baking failure a few years back, I’ve decided to simply go with a kit and just jazz up the house with all the fun candy decortaion we will find. We’ve already spottet an online shop specializing in all things gingerbread and this year’s house will be even prettier than our last one, if this is even possible…!
Gingerbread House quilt pattern
The GINGERBREAD HOUSE quilt pattern contains diagramed step-by-step instructions to make two quilt blocks, as well as specifications to make two quilts:
- Quilt blocks sizes: 12″ x 12″ (33 x 33 cm) and 6″ x 6″ (15,2 x 15,2 cm)
- Quilt sizes: lap (20 large blocks, 58″ x 72″) and mini (9 small blocks, 22″ x 22″)
The blocks are pieced traditionally using the Easy Corner Triangle Method to create the figurative shapes and there’s no hand sewing or paper piecing involved!

Weiter geht es mit dem Lebkuchenhaus! Das Aufstellen und Dekorieren eines Lebkuchenhauses ist unserer Lieblingstradition in der Weihnachtszeit. Nachdem es vor ein paar Jahren zu einem kleinen Back-Desaster kam, habe ich beschlossen, zukünftig nur mit Bausätzen zu arbeiten und das Haus dann mit allerlei Dekorationen unserer Wahl aufzupeppen. Wir haben bereits einen Onlineshop ausfinding gemacht, der sich auf Lebkuchenhaus und Co. spezialisiert hat und ich glaube unser diesjähriges Haus wird noch schöner als das Letzte – falls das überhaupt möglich ist…!
Gingerbread House Patchwork Anleitung
Die GINGERBREAD HOUSE Patchwork Anleitung beinhaltet eine grafische Schritt für Schritt – Anleitung zur Herstellung von zwei Quilt Blöcken, sowie die Angaben zur Herstellung von zwei Quilts:
- Quilt Blöcke: 12″ x 12″ (33 x 33 cm) und 6″ x 6″ (15,2 x 15,2 cm)
- Quilt Größen: Lap size (20 große Blöcken, 58″ x 72″), Mini Quilt (9 kleine Blöcke, 22″ x 22″)
Die Blöcke werden nach traditioneller Art auf der Nähmaschine gepatcht, die figürlichen Formen entstehen mit der Easy Corner Triangle Methode, ganz ohne Handnähen oder Paper Piecing!
