Let’s Have A Picnic Quilt Blocks in Blue

My Blue Picnic quilt blocks

The blue Let’s Have a Picnic quilt blocks are the last ones I’m sharing! Watch me stitch them up in this Reel on my Instagram Feed (click here). I’m a huge fan of Nathalie Lété’s whimsical art (click here) and I was overjoyed when I discovered her first quilting fabric collection! For this quilt I decided to break into my precious Nathalie Lété stash and finally start using these adorable prints instead of heaving them sit on my shelf forever, gathering dust!

My Fabric Selection

So, for the blue blocks I’ve used (from top to bottom):

Nathalie Leté – Woodland Walk
Nadra Ridgeway – Arbor Blossom
Windham Fabrics – Vintage Storybook III
Windham Fabrics – StoryBook VI
Carolyn Friedlander – Architextures
Nadra Ridgeway – Mon Beau Jardin

Scroll all the way down to take a look at these beautiful prints!

Want to make your own picnic quilt?

⁣The gingham pattern is a super fun quilt design where you can show off the prettiest prints from your stash! To make these scrappy blocks, you can either use Layer Cake squares, Jelly Roll strips or easily cut the needed strips from yardage. The blocks seam elaborate but are actually very quick and easy to sew (click here), thanks to the strip piecing method. The quilt measures 64 ½x 80 ½which is enough room to seat 4 people with the food in the middle.
