Welcome to my stop on the Dolly Book Tour! If you have already been here, than you probably know that I’m a huge fan of Elea Lutz work – everything she makes ist just adorable! She has released several fabric lines with Penny Rose Fabrics, which is the vintage devision of Riley Blake Designs and Little Dolly is her recent collection. I love the colors and whimsical prints – just look at these cute little birdies with bonnets! In August Elea released her second book Dolly – The Sweet Book of Doll Projects to Sew and Love which accompanies her latest fabric line. Dolly contains 10 doll-inspired projects including mini quilts, treat bags, accessories, a tote and the pattern to make the beautiful rag doll on the cover. I fell in love with the three little dollies in a row, isn’t this pillow just the cutest idea? I decided to applique their hair because I didn’t have matching embroidery yarn, I just used a template from one of the other projects. I love their different facial expressions! This pillow is a wonderful gift for a little girl, as well as all the other cute projects in the book!

Wenn du schon vorher hier warst, dann weißt du wahrscheinlich, dass ich ein großer Fan von Elea Lutz bin – alles was sie macht ist einfach zauberhaft! Sie hat bereits mehrere Stoffkollektionen mit Penny Rose Fabrics, der eher klassisch orientierten Abteilung von Riley Blake Designs herausgebracht und Little Dolly ist ihre neueste Kollektion. Die Farben und Muster sind wieder einmal wunderschön – diese kleine Vögelchen mit Haube sind doch einfach zum niederknien, findest du nicht? Im August hat Elea ihr zweites Buch herausgebracht. Dolly – The Sweet Book of Doll Projects to Sew and Love beinhaltet zehn Projekte, die sich rund ums Thema Puppen drehen: Mini Quilts sind dabei, Kleine Beutelchen, eine Tasche und naürlich eine Anleitung für die Puppe auf dem Cover. Ich hab mich direkt in die drei kleinen Püppchen in der Reihe verliebt, das ist einfach so eine süße Idee! Die Haare habe ich appliziert, weil ich nicht mehr genügend Stickgarn hatte. Die Vorlage habe ich mir einfach on einem der anderen Projekte genommen. Am besten sind die unterschiedlichen Gesichtsausdrücke der Damen! Dieses Kissen ist ein wunderbares Geschenk für ein kleines Mädchen – genau wie alle anderen Projekte in diesem schönen Buch!
