Hallo und willkommen bei meinem Stop auf der Apple Farm Blog Tour! Vor einigen Wochen habe ich Euch Apple Farm, die neue Stoffkollektion von Elea Lutz für Penny Rose Fabrics vorgestellt und ich freue mich, Euch endlich zeigen zu können, an was ich gearbeitet habe!
Ich bin schon lange ein großer Fan von Elea und liebe den wundervollen Vintage-Charme ihrer Stoffe. Mit Apple Farm, hat sie noch mal eins drauf gesetzt, diese Kollektion ist wirklich zum niederknien! Ich musste eigentlich gar nicht lange überlegen, was es werden soll, die niedlichen kleinen Bären bei der Ernte, die Muster und vor allem die Farben – alles hat förmlich nach einem Apfel-Quilt gerufen! Ich habe mich für eine Baby Quilt entschieden, denn diese Kollektion eignet sich einfach perfekt für die Erstaustattung eines Kinderzimmers. Der Sweet Apples Baby Quilt mißt 90 x 120 cm. Eingefaßt habe ich ihn mit einem scrappy Binding, das ist die Lösung, um Reste zu verbrauchen, oder wenn man nicht genügend Stoff von einem Muster übrig hat, und sieht auch noch wunderschön aus! Und weil ich gar nicht mehr aufhören wollte, kam noch ein Kissen dazu. Das Kissen mißt 40,5 x 40,5 cm und hat einen einfachen Hotelverschluß.

apple_farm_blog_hop_banner-600x130px Hello and welcome to my stop at the Apple Farm Blog Tour! A couple of weeks ago I introduced you to Elea Lutz’ newest fabric line for Penny Rose Fabrics called Apple Farm and I am thrilled to show you my projects!
I’ve been a fan of Elea’s work for a long time and I just love the vintage-y feel of her fabrics. I didn’t have to think long to come up with an idea – the sweet little bears at harvest, the prints and especially the colors literally called for an apple quilt! Apple Farm is a perfect nusery range, so I decided to go with a baby quilt. And I made a pillow too, because I just couldn’t stop at one project. The Sweet Apples baby quilt measures 36″ x 47″. I just love the scrappy binding, it’s the perfect solution, to help use the leftover fabric, or if you don’t have enough fabric in one print. The pillow measures 16″ x 16″ and has a simple envelope closure.
The Sweet Apples Pattern contains instructions for both a baby quilt and a pillow. It’s available in my Etsy Shop at a discounted price for the duration of the blog tour.
