Hello and welcome to my stop at the Zakka Home Book Tour! This second book by fellow Designer Sedef Imer of Down Grapevine Lane has just been released and it’s filled to the brim with easy to make and adorable projects inspired by the art of Zakka. Her first book Quilt Petite was a huge succes and I’m sure you will love this new book just as much as the first one!
I decided to make two projects which I will be giving away as a gift to a sweet little girl. The ruched cushion is simple, yet effective and so easy to make – you can use either solid fabrics as Sedef did in her book, or small scale prints with matching colors like these from my current fabric line Mon Beau Jardin. I love this pillow – the ruffles makes it so soft and cuddly! My second project is the Kitty Key Ring. This cute little critter (that tongue!!) is based a drawing Sedef’s little boy made – what a wonderful way to turn your childs artwork into a keepsake!

Hallo und willkommen zu meinem Stop bei der Zakka Home Buch Tour! Dieser zweite Titel meiner Designer-Kollegin Sedef Imer von Down Grapevine Lane ist voll mit ganz wunderbaren, einfach herzustellenden Projekten im japanischen Zakka Stil. Wenn dir ihr erstes Buch Quilt Petite gefallen hat, wirst du auch diese lieben!
Ich habe mich für zwei Projekte entschieden, die ich als Ensemble verschenken werde. Das gerüschte Kissen ist einfach, aber effektiv und superschnell genäht! Man kann sowohl unifarbene Stoffe verwenden, so wie Sedef in im Buch getan hat, oder kleingemusterte, farblich passende Stoffe, wie diese Muster aus meiner aktuellen Stoffkollektion Mon Beau Jardin. Das Kissen ist einfach toll – so weich und wunderbar kuschelig! Mein zweites Projekt ist dieser überaus niedliche Katzenanänger (die Zunge!!), nach einer Zeichnung ihres Sohnes. Was für eine schöne Art Erinnerungen zu erhalten, findest du nicht?
Zakka Home wird von Tuva Publishing herausgegeben und ist im Buchhandel sowie online erhältlich. Eine der übrigen signierten Kopien bekommst du in Sedefs Etsy shop.
